Portland, OR – Ricochet Partners has completed development of a new advertising campaign for eb5, a nationally distributed line of skin care products developed by a Portland pharmacist.
Their flagship product, eb5 formula, is positioned as a five-in-one cream addressing women’s skin concerns such as wrinkles or dry skin. Though it has been sold nationwide for some time, the company felt its advertising needed some updating. “While the product line is successful in national department stores and drug store outlets, their brand presentation needed updating to compete with the increased competition in the anti-aging cosmetic products category.,” said Jeanne McKirchy-Spencer, Ricochet’s Chief Strategy Officer. “So we worked with eb5 to create a campaign which approached the category with fresh messaging that focuses on the benefits of using eb5 to erase the signs of time.”
“From a creative standpoint, we chose to have the ad feature a photo of a beautiful middle-aged woman that reveals the real person behind a “mask” of wrinkles,” said Peter Chartlon, Ricochet’s Chief Creative Director. He said the ads’ soft, simple feel portrays not only a look women want for themselves, but the resulting emotions of achieving that look. “The copy and the visual work together to convey that eb5 can help reveal the ‘real you’ that every woman knows is still there inside her,” said Charlton.
The full-page ads are running in national magazines targeted at women over age 40, such as Ladies’ Home Journal, More, and others.
