I found myself asking this after seeing these commercials in last night’s BCS National Championship Game. So, I went to another big G, Google, and looked it up.

Turns out, PepsiCo is “now attempting to up Gatorade's game with new packaging and renamed line extensions.” The renamed line extensions specifically attempt to "convey the attitude of a tough-love coach or personal trainer, through in-your-face names on the label."

I can’t decide how I feel about this, though the commercial did pique my interest. And it seemed to generate a lot of buzz. But I’m not so sure this is the answer to any decline in Gatorade sales.
